The stay in Spanish club Cordoba has not been as expected for RBK player Christer George. Now, he is looking forward to the loan deal expiring this summer.
George was loaned out to the Spanish 2nd divition club just hours before the transfer window closed Aug 31th last year. The 24-year old hoped that a year in Spain should boost his carreer.
But his hopes are not fulfilled. "Georgie" has been in and out on Cordoba, and has not been given a chance as centre forward as promised. Instead, he has been playing left and right wing.
"But my football skills have not decreased. Hence I am positive about the tought of playing in the Tippeligaen again. The stay in Spain has done me good. I have evolved as a football player, taught myself a new language and had many great experiences", says Christer George to Trondheim newspaper Adressa.
The former U21 international expects to return to Lerkendal around Jun 20th, immediately following the end of the Spanish season.
"I am top motivated to return to Trondheim. Now, I want to fight for a place as running midfielder on Rosenborg. But it will not be easy to get a place on a side that has played together for the entire spring season", George admits.
