Rosenborg's talented midfielder Alexander Tettey became 18 years earlier in April, and has now received his Norwegian passport.
Tettey is originally from Ghana, and travelled to Norway with his dad in 1999. After staying in Bodø for a short period, he moved to Trondheim and started playing football for FC Kolstad. He impressed in the club (where RBK players Harald Brattbakk and Odd Inge Olsen originate), and was picked for the Rosenborg junior team.
Last September he was, as a 17-year old, accepted into the A team. Such a young member has the A team not had since the "year of chrisis" 1977, when the 17-year olds Ola By Rise, Knut Torbjørn Eggen and Øivind Husby started.
Alexander Tettey reached his age of majority at April 4th, and has now finally gotten his Norwegian passport.
"I am very happy to finally have being granted Norwegian citizenship. Now I can play for the 18-years National team - cool!," "Van Tettey" declares at his homepage.
