Rissa - Rosenborg 0-15
By Håvard Lindheim, 6 May 2004, 10:28

There had been several hints of a scoring record before the Rissa match, but that was not to be. Still, 15-0 saw Rosenborg safe into the cup's second round.

Last year's first round of the Norwegian Championship ended in a record 17-0 victory over Buvik, and both the RBK-players, -managers and -supporters that took the Fosen ferry over the Trondheim fjord probably had this record in the back of their minds.

But the result at Langsand statium was some goals short, even though they flowed in after the break; at half time the result was 6-0, and Ola By Rise's men scored nine in the second half.

Most distinguished against Rissa was Harald Brattbakk. The goalgetter had long been waiting for that first, relieving goal of the season, and against the 3rd division club, Brattigol hammered in six goals when he was at it! Thereby he also is on par with Odd Iversen's club record for number of goals scored in one match; Ivers made a double hat trick in a home match against Vålerenga in 1968.

Still, he could and should have had seven goals against Rissa: At 5-0 RBK received a penalty. But for the second match in a row, the topscorer did not manage to net it. Rissa goalkeeper Stian Fallrø easily saved the feeble shot.

RBK saved several of the normal starting players: Espen Johnsen, Vidar Riseth and Ørjan Berg were all resting, while Frode Johnsen was placed on the bench. This lead to, among other things, that bench warmers Alexander Lund Hansen (goalkeeper) and Torjus Hansén could play from start.

The Board of Football decided in March that also the next round of the Cup shall be played on away ground for the Tippeliga sides. Who Rosenborg will meet will be clear on Friday (as rbkweb.com understands it). That match is being played Wed May 26th at six.

PS! Johnny Sørloth, brother of Gøran (honoured old RBK forward), is coaching Rissa.
