Rosenborg - Molde 0-2

As opposed to the fatal Tromsø game, the guts, the play and the chances were present this time. But still we lost the May 16th match against Molde.
TEMPERED: As the second half went by, the Rosenborg players grew frustrated both from the standing and the throwing-away of chances. Azar karadas (back left) gets pushed away by Ørjan Berg, while referee Tommy Skjerven calms Molde goalkeeper Eddie Gustafsson
Lerkendal was packed, and as the "Graduate's Field" was made into standing tribunes for this match, an additional 200 was let in. The number of spectators thereby was 21 366, which will stand as a record at New Lerkendal until one rebuilds - should that happen. But both the graduates and other excited spectators were disappointed.
Rosenborg did not play a weak match, but the efficiency was poor. A good example came about twenty minutes before time, when Ørjan Berg hat a shot in the goalpost, while Frode Johnsen used so much time that Molde goallie Eddie Gustavsson managed to "reorganize" and save the second attempt.
"We should have scored both one, two and three times, but it gets merely almost there. Instead, Molde gets two goals at perfect moments during the game; directly before and after the break," Ola By Rise said after the match.
0-1 came on extra time before the break, when Magne Hoset played Kai Røberg free, and he hit the goalpost and then the net from a difficult angle. Hoset and Røberg were back again for 0-2. The duo played wall, and Røberg did a heel kick to Hoset who made a safe score.
"After this, our game gets more stereotyped, and the belief in success faded away as the half went by. We are left with a 0-2 result," Ola By ascertained.
