Sogndal reluctant in Russell case

Sogndal has up until now seemed positive towards selling Robbie Russell to Rosenborg, but now the western relegation-threatened club has put their foot down.
"Rosenborg has made a request with a proposition to buy Russell, but we have answered that it will be hard for them to buy him now. We need him ourselves, to start climbing the table," Sogndal Managing Director Yngve Hallén says to Norwegian Internet newspaper Nettavisen.
Hallén points to the reasons as to why they are not interested in selling the American right back at the moment.
"If we sell Russell, we need to get a replacement, and that will be expencive. Remember that the substitute needs an appartement, a good pay etcetera. Our economy isn't that great," he points out.
Robbie Russell himself is on the other hand interested in a transfer, and has appointed Lerkendal as next stop.
"Time can has come to move on. I have been here for four years now, and came here to develop. Rosenborg is the best club in Scandinavia, and an offer from them would be more than welcome," Russell said to Norwegian daily Dagbladet two weeks ago.
