Daniel Braaten has given up his dream of becoming a proffessional abroad, and realize that a transfer to a Tippeliga club is the realistic target. The Skeid forward now proposes to Rosenborg.
Last autumn, RBK placed a ?173.000 bid on the 22-year old, but the negotiations halted when Skeid wanted ?690.000. At that stage, also the French elite club Lens was interested and waved the Euro bills.
Now the situation has changed. Skeid wants to sell Braaten, whose contract expires after the season. Lillestrøm, Stabæk and Vålerenga are the three clubs that have shown the most interest lately. In addition, both Viking and Tromsø, as well as RBK, has said they would not mind signing Braaten.
"There are several possibilities, and I will not rule out any of them. During the coming month, things should be clear," Daniel Braaten says to Norwegian daily Aftenposten.
The Oslo lad would very much like to stay in the Capital, and hence, LSK, Stabæk and VIF are the most likely clubs, but he does not decline any offer at this point:
"Should Rosenborg call, that certainly is a possibility too," Braaten says to Norwegian daily VG, and more or less proposes to Rune Bratseth.
Daniel Braaten scored two home against Kongsvinger on Sunday, and has now 9 goals on his 14 games in 1st division this season.
