"Heartwarming defensive work"

Prior to the Sheriff game, Per Joar Hansen was clear on the issue that Rosenborg had to succeed with their "away games in Europe"-strategy. Thankfully, everything went well.

"We can say many positive things after a game like this. I would however like to express my satisfaction over the fact that we were safe and solid in defence. Sheriff only created two good chances in 90 minutes," Hansen says to rbkweb.com at 36 000 feet above the Baltic.
"To see that the defense works, is a great sign prior to the coming E-cup matches this autumn. The way we play in the second half gives confidence," Perry states.
The RBK assistant coach could also note two goals. In other words, the offensive part works as well.
"In the home leg against Sheriff we struggled with low quality on the passes, but that is gone now. The passes hit, and the players seemed confident with the ball," Per Joar says.
Not least, the midfield maestro Ørjan Berg was brilliant.
"Ørjan was simply outstanding. He lead and played as only he can. Not many in Europe can do it the same way," praises Perry.
Words that warm the heart of the northlander:
"Praising words are always nice," says Ørjan, who was back as a central midfielder after having played running midfielder for much of the summer.
"For my part, things went really well. Wether I play running midfielder or have a central position isn't of importance; I feel that I handle both roles equally well," Berg says to rbkweb.com.
