Comment: Time to wake up!

1-7 on the last two league games. With what supposedly is the best RBK squad ever. Why?
Commentary from rbkweb.com's Åsmund Sjøberg
What is wrong?
Good prestations are followed by sucky matches. Something is strange with this year's RBK.
This spring, we brushed it off as coincidences, and what belongs in a normal pre-season. 2-4 loss against Kongsvinger and 0-3 loss against Hammarby came inbetween a nice 5-0 win against Djurgården and great play and a huge victory against Viking in the last pre-season game. Then, one won the first matches, before entering a heavy period with four games and no victories. And then, 10 games without a loss, and now - we seem to have parked. What happens? Why are we so unstable?
We saw it in the Odd match too. The first 20 minutes one plays great, fresh, fast football, - without scoring. Then Ørjan Berg leaves the field, and the team seems to collapse. Several players make mistakes, and the combined result won't do. But again - why? The best collection of footballers in the country should supposedly acchieve better? I can probably name some reasons, but not with certainty. Only the players themselves know.
- Too few players score on a regular basis. Earlier, we have had double digit scores by two of our three forwards. This year, only Frode Johnsen has scored with any regularity. Brattbakk has collapsed in front of the goal, and the midfielders score too little as well.
- A lack of efficiency in games where RBK has owned the gameplay.
- Too many personal errors. Cheap goals have been conceded, and one has been much harsher punished this year than earlier.
- The rythm of the attack varies with the same degree of instability. The firm pattern one earlier could fall back on is now mostly missing. Naturally, this has something to do with new backs and new wingmen, important positions in the normal RBK system. But the rythm of attack is an important factor for success in RBK.
These are factors I miss in today's RBK. Wether it is this that will make RBK stop losing and start winning, I cannot guarantee. At the same time, I feel safe that Ola and the players have enough backbone and stamina to handle this, and to ensure a good autumn.
But please, guys, start it soon, will you? We still lead the league, and we still have the chance to settle this ourselves. Let us grab hold of that chance. We are the best football team in the country, and we played a great game as late as Tuesday. So, come on, lay off the instability, go out and give us a football autumn in known style!
Which implies league gold and party nights in the Champions League.
