Rosenborg placed the 25-year-old from Oslo on the transfer list just before Christmas. Many clubs have noticed this, and in the moment clubs like Dutch Vitesse Arnhem, Swedish sides Djurgården and GIF Sundsvall and Norwegian clubs Lillestrøm and Start all are interested in signing George.
The same are Plymouth Argyle. This week George is on trial at the club situated on a dangerous 19th place among the 24 clubs in the English Championship.
The Englishmen will however not confirm that George is on trial.
"I have just spoken to Argyle manager Bobby Williamson. He will not confirm anything, but we believe George is here on trial and we think he will play in a private match against Torquay United this afternoon," Andy Phelan, sportsreporter in local newspaper Evening Herald, says.
Monday Rosenborg let Torjus Hansén, another transfer listed player, go for free to Odd Grenland. Also George might go for free. At least the price tag will be very affordable.
