One hell of an important win
By Håvard Lindheim, 15 Februar 2005, 09:13

Partially good play, no goals against and three points. That tasted fine. Rosenborg got a great start on the 2005 season.

"I think we did a good game," Rune Skarsfjord tells rbkweb.com.

The assistant coach saw many positive things.

"We had a good drive and created chances throughout the game. I felt the Rosenborg machinery working, and when it ticks and goes like that, I am not nervous even if we don't make an early goal. I was quite sure it would come," Skars jr. smiles.

The wonderful free kick of Ståle Stensaas, combined with Vålerenga IF's win, makes Rosenborg as good as ready for the 2nd group stages in the Royal League.

"This was one hell of an important win. Now, things look great," Skarsfjord ascertains.

The other Rune in RBK, Sports Director Bratseth, was pleased too. The former giant defender was especially pleased with the defensive work today.

"Yes, it was a relief to keep a clean sheet today. We didn't let Esbjerg at it, and the back line was solid," Bratseth says to rbkweb.com.

And coming Thursday we're at it again. RBK shall then get revenge for two sour losses against Vålerenga IF last autumn.

"Of course we plan to crush Vålerenga. They will have to play quite good to beat us!", Skars ends.
