Roar Strand planned to end his career this autumn (again!), but the 35-year old experiences a new spring (literarily), and prolongs his contract with another year.

Roar Strand was uncertain about his future, and so was the club. During the past seasons, Strand has spent much time injured, and as late as last year he missed major parts of the spring season.
Tuesday, both the player and the club stated that they wanted to see how things went during the spring before agreeing on the player's future.
But now, things have picked up pace. Friday, Roar Strand signed a new one year contract, binding him to Lerkendal until the end of the 2006 season.
"Roar has played well and been free from injuries. While he's in the zone, he is a vital piece for the team, and we felt that it was in place to give Roar this decision now," Rune Bratseth says to the club's home page rbk.no.
"We are extremely pleased with Roar's commitment and prestations, and we are thoroughly happy to have such a resource on the team for next year as well," the Sports Director adds.
Per Joar Hansen is happy to have this deal settled.
"Ending the career is pure nonsense, Roar has never been this good! It's far too early to spend the weekends at home!", Perry told rosenborg.info on Tuesday.
