"The best team doesn't always win"

As opposed to Sunday's 2-2-match against Aalesund, Rosenborg played well against FC Copenhagen on Thursday. But this time, the home team was left robbed of points.
FAILED: Harald Brattbakk failed to score against his old team mates. Unfortunately, the other RBK players weren't much better in front of the net.

"I found it positive that we had such a strong upper hand during tonight's game," Harald Brattbakk says. This was his first mandatory match from the start in four months.
Per Joar Hansen agrees with the forward veteran.
"Gamewise, this was a good game from our side. We create most of the chances, and lead the gameplay. Especially during the first half the cross-movements in front of the goal were good, and we had a good width in our play. FC København is a good team, and I am well pleased with creating this many chances," the Rosenborg coach says.
But for the fourth match in a row, the opponent made the first goal.
"They make a score on their first attempt. We have to start chasing for a goal, and get tired out," Perry says, who most of all was irritated by the lousy effectiveness in front of the Danes' goal.
"When we create 7-8 chances during the first half, without scoring, it gets hard," he observes.
After a nice trend in March, April so far has been dark as bleech as far as the results are concerned, with a loss against Viking and FCK and a draw against Aalesund.
"There will always be periods when we struggle, but it doesn't look too bad. We fight to the end, and we create opportunities, even tough it's goddamned bitter to lose," Per Joar Hansen says.
After tonight's match, RBK still lead group 1 on a better goal difference than FC København. The match between the Danes and Malmø FF Thursday in two weeks will have great affect on the end result. With a home win in the Parken, RBK will have to conquer MFF in the away game on 12 May, possibly with a few goals, to enter the final.
"The chances of playing in the final are still good. The group is open, everything can happen," Perry says.
"We still lead our group, and have great possibilities of making it," Harald Brattbakk states.
PS 1! IFK Gøteborg will most likely be the opponent in the final match, against the winner of RBK's group. The Swedes did beat Vålerenga 2-1 on Nya Ullevi tonight.
PS 2! Goal difference and number of goals scored are counted prior to internal matches, if several teams end up with the same number of points.
