Thin defensive line

Rosenborg doesn't have many defenders to choose from when the team against Start shall be picked.
Erik Hoftun received his third yellow card for the season against Lillestrøm, and is suspended on Thursday. In addition, many other defenders are out or unlikely to be fit due to injuries:
Bjørn Tore Kvarme, groin injury
A hard groin pull against FC Køpenhavn. Out to end of May.
Miika Koppinen, sinusitis
Has been ill for two weeks, and was sent to the St. Olav's Hospital before the weekend when the situation got worse. Back in training next week, but unlikely to play against Start.
Vidar Riseth, achilles
As usual, has had achilles pains for the past few days, and had to call it a day before half time against Lillestrøm. Is to be checked on Monday. Unlikely to play against Start.
Robbie Russell, knee
Had his knee re-operated before Easter. Is on restitutional training and is expected well mid-May.
In addition, Ørjan Berg was injured against LSK. The midfield veteran skid when trying to feint, and ended up under a Lillestrøm player. This resulted in a dislocated elbow. The severity of the damage is so far not clear.
All these injuries will result in Christer Basma playing central defender against Start, while Mikael Dorsin plays right back. It is probable that the youngster Alexander Tettey or forward Frode Johnsen will play next to Christer Basma.
