Brattbakk follows Hoftun
By Håvard Lindheim, 5 August 2005, 14:18

Harald Brattbakk is loaned out to Bodø/Glimt for the remains of the season.

Earlier this summer Brattbakk supposedly turned down such a deal, but he probably got a bit more motivated for a return to Bodø when his good friend Erik Hoftun signed for Glimt.

This year, Brattbakk has been so far from a regular place on the first team that he for some matches has been placed on the stands. The 34-year old, whose contract expires in 2006, has only been in the starting line-up once - against Bodø/Glimt in April. That is probably why RBK has agreed to let the northerners loan him for free, just covering his wages.

Bodø/Glimt think Norway's all time top scorer still can add many goals to his current total of 161.

"We know what Brattbakk has achieved the past few years. Now, we need a weapon for our attacking line, and when Brattbakk wants to come here, well, then it's settled. We are happy with this deal," Bodø/Glimt's Chief Executive Tord Kolstad says.

Brattbakk played in Glimt in the seasons 1992-93 before returning to Lerkendal as a replacement for Gøran Sørloth, who had signed for Turkish club Bursaspor. The rest of the history should be well known ...
