Rosenborg have arranged to play an extra friendly during the Gran Canary training camp.

The friendly will be played Friday at 18:00 Norwegian time (17:00 local time), and the opponent will be Pohang Steelers from South Corea.

Similar to RBK, the Asians parttook in the Maspalomas tournament, but due to the tournament format the two teams didn't meet during the weekend. Instead, Pohang played Djurgården and Brøndby, and got a 1-1 draw and a 2-3 loss out of it.

The club is among its country's best, and did win the K-league in 1986, 1988 and 1992. Their coach, Ricardo de Pavia Farias, is a Brazilian, and he has brought over several of his fellow countrymen to the club, which is owned by the Pohang steelyard.
