FC København - Rosenborg 1-2

Rosenborg had few troubles overcoming a Danish team with many reserves.
FCK coach Ståle Solbakken chose to let many juniors play this afternoon, and hence, RBK only had a low-quality sparring partner before the UEFA cup games against Zenit St. Petersburg.
Instead, it became an organized attack training. In spite of much possession by the Danish, most of the chances in the game were created by Rosenborg.
Both the Trondheim goals came after about half an hour. The wing colleagues Karim Essediri and Harald Brattbakk were involved in both. 1-0 came when the last mentioned was fouled at the corner of 16. Essediri took the free kick, which Frode Johnsen headed in.
Ten minutes later, the lead was doubled. Yssouf Kone, who played from start for the first time, headed a pass down to Brattbakk's feet, who then in turn passed to Essediri. The Tunisian ran through and with an elegant lob made 2-0 from 18 metres.
FCK reduced with a long shot signed Morten Bertolt shortly after the break, but RBKs victory wasn't much threathened.
Today's highlight was that Jan Gunnar Solli and Daniel Braaten both were back after their groin problems. Good news in an injury- and illness-ridden team: Per Ciljan Skjelbred, Thorstein Helstad, Ørjan Berg and Alexander Tettey all stayed home in Trondheim, having a fever and a sore throat; while Bjørn Tore Kvarme and Øyvind Storflor stayed in the hotel with the same symphtoms.
Hopefully, several of these will be back in time for the final test against Lokomotiv Moscow on Thursday!
