Rosenborg - Aalesund 5-1

To win 5-1 is great, but most of the attention went to Per Ciljan Skjelbred og Steffen Iversen, as they made their comeback after being out for respectively four months and nine years.
"It was fun to be back and play a real match, 11 against 11 again," a happy Skjelbred told rosenborg.info.
The 18-year old started as right running midfielder in the comeback, and looked promising. At half time he was replaced by Steffen Iversen, who had a harder time due to a physical shape somewhat below par.
But anyway, Rosenborg seems to be on route prior to the league premiere, and the team looked good against Aalesund - who couldn't produce much anyway. Especially before half time the gameplay was of high quality.
"There were many good movements, and we did create a lot. If we are displeased with anything, it is that we didn't score more goals. During the second half we had a weak middle period, but we started and ended it okay. At the same time we were more efficient in front of the goal," Knut Tørum stated.
Øyvind Storflor stepped in on short notice as Karim Essediri was ill, and he responded with two nice goals.
"Øyvind was great at the right wing today. He had superb passes and shots. His best match during my two months at Rosenborg," Tørum summed up.
As mentioned, Rosenborg raised in quality towards the end of the game, and two subs made two great goals. Yssouf Kone showed great suppleness when he headed in 4-1, before Ståle Stensaas finished it all with a great volley at the far post.
PS! Roar Strand (toe), Ørjan Berg (ancle) and Vidar Riseth (ancle) had to pass the game, together with Essediri.
