Tromsø - Rosenborg 0-4
By Håvard Lindheim, 14 March 2006, 07:43
RBK continues their parade of triumph with a comfortable win against Tromsø.
This afternoon as well, Rosenborg showed great efficiency in front of the goal, especially before the break. 0-1 came when Bjørn Tore Kvarme, midway through the half, had a rare score after a pass from karim Essediri.
Tromsø goallie Knut Borch followed up with two big blunders, directly before and after the break. First, he missed the ball when he was supposed to clear away a bad RBK goalkick - a moment effectively used by Øyvind Storflor. Then, Borch failed to secure a long throw from substitute Robbie Russell. Another substitute, Yssouf Kone, had an elegant score - with a tunell on the 'keeper. This is the third match in a row that has seen a score by the international from Burkina Faso. Do we see a new 'supersub'?
In the second half, Rosenborg dominated out on the field. Just before full time, Daniel Braaten got the honour of making the finishing touch on the game, after having been played free - alone with Borch.
Nine friendlies this winter have then resulted in seven wins and two draws. This bodes well in front of the Great Season of Revenge!
PS! Roar Strand (toe) and Ørjan Berg/Vidar Riseth (ancles) all passed this game due to injuries. Steffen Iversen stayed home in Trondheim and trained for himself instead.
