Surgery next for Koppinen

The nightmare of injuries continues for the unlucky Finn.
Yet again, misfortune struck Miika Koppinen. During yesterday's training session, he part-took in the gameplay sequence on par with the other players. Suddenly it happened. Koppinen took a hit to the knee, and had to leave the field immediately. This morning it was clear that the cartilage is torn off, and during the day the Finn will undergo surgery.
"Miika is terrible unlucky with injuries. It is quite astonishing what degree of bad luck he has had since coming here. Finally, he was back after last season's mishappenings, and then this happens," a resigned Høgmo tells rosenborg.info.
According to Høgmo it might take around three weeks before Miika can be expected to be ready. He might be able to play a couple of games before the World Cup break if all goes as planned.
As an apropos: Jørn Jamtfall and Petter Belsvik were ready for matches merely nine days after similar injuries during their carreers.
