Rosenborg has made a substantial bid for the Slovakian midfielder Marek Sapara.

The 24 year old is the captian of Slovakia's current league- and cupwinner Ruzomberok, but wishes to go abroad. He was on trial in June for CSKA Moscow, before he was in talks with RBK. German Hamburg and Hannover are also interested.

Now Rosenborg has placed a bid of €1.25 million for the player according to Norwegian daily VG. If the transfer becomes a reality, he will be the most expensive foreigner ever in Norwegian football.

There are reasons to believe that Ruzomberok are not going to sell their star-player before they are finished with their Champions League-qualification. Djurgården is their first opponent. The first match is played Wednesady, the second is on the 2. of August.
