The 17-year old from the Ivory Coast has been in Trondheim since early July, but now, his tourist visa expires. And, as a result, he will have to return home. Still, he has managed to impress, among other things with his play in the friendly against Wigan in August.
"Abdoul has been very good. He has a great left leg, and with his skills, he can play on the left back position, or as left running midfielder, or winger. I feel that left running midfielder is his best position, from what he has shown," Trond Henriksen tells rosenborg.info.
RBK has more or less decided upon offering Traore a contract when he comes of age during Christmas, but wants to view him in proper gameplay during a match before the final decision is taken. Hence, he'll join the team to the Gran Canary training camp in January.
"We haven't seen him much in matches, only on the training field. It will be exciting, then, to be able to use him for a match. The small fields of the training sessions can't be compared to the full picture of a normal game, it is something completely different," the Rosenborg assistant coach ends.
