Rosenborg sign midfielder

A surprising signing was presented today: Didier Konan of Ivory Coast.

The talented player is bought from ASEC Abidjan for an undisclosed fee, and has signed a 3-year-deal, rbk.no reports.
"This is an attacking midfielder from one of Africa's best clubs. A creative and very exciting guy. We needed another player at the midfield, and it was a simple choice," Rosenborg talent scout Stig Torbjørnsen says.
Konan is just 22 years old, but is already merited. He was the topscorer in the African Champions League this season with impressive 8 goals in 10 matches, when ASEC advanced to the semifinal. He therefore is one of three nominees for "Player of the year" in Africa.
In October he made his debut on the national team in the 5-0 win over Gabon.
