Skjelbred signs new contract

Per Ciljan Skjelbred agreed to a deal that makes him a Rosenborger until the end of 2009.
"It feels good to get it over with since the league starts so soon. There wasn't a great deal of work, but it always creates some stress," Skjelbred told rosenborg.info.
Udinese and some other clubs have shown an interest in the RBK talent, who still decided to stay.
"I think that's appropriate. He is happy here and has a chance to develop under safe and familiar circumstances," Knut Tørum opined.
The big question is now whether Mikael Dorsin and Miika Koppinen are extending their contracts, both of them expiring at the end of this year. Daniel Braaten has already made clear that he does not want to stay at Lerkendal.
Rosenborg has not decided whether Christer Basma, Bjørn Tore Kvarme and Andreas Nordvik will be offered to stay. Roar Strand has once again told that he might retire, but the final decision has not yet been taken.
