The bid which initiated the final negotiations is said to be 500,000 Euros. The final transfer fee is believed to be 600,000 Euros for the Burkina Faso international, who did not want to extend his Rosenborg contract.
Kon� has signed a 4-year-deal with Cluj. He moves to Transylvania 1 August, when the Norwegian transfer window opens. This way Rosenborg will have time to find a replacement.
This concludes seven months of speculations. Already last November Cluj tried to buy Yssouf Kon�, but RBK turned down a 1 million Euro bid. The player was however keen on playing Champions League for the Romanians, and the negotiations were taken up again when he rejected extending his Rosenborg contract.
The 26-year-old had a difficult beginning of his RBK career after his 500,000 Euros transfer from Moroccan Raja Casablanca - he was on loan to Safi at that time. Injuries and sickness ruined the start of two following seasons, and he started just two league matches - stangely enough home against Fredrikstad both times - in his first 18 months.
But when Daniel Braaten was sold to Bolton last summer, Kon� did get a regular place in the team and he striked immediately: 9 goals in the following 8 games was just terrific! He followed up, and made in total 9 goals in 11 league matches and 8 goals in 10 Champions League games that autumn.
