BODØ (rosenborg.info): "It's ridiculous! He is diving," said a disheartened Stoor after the match
Stoor was sent off after two yellow cards, both given after alleged fouls on Trond Olsen. Referee Brage Sandmoen gave Stoor the first yellow card after only two minutes when the linesman claimed that Stoor had tripped Olsen. However, there was no contact between the players. The second situation was almost identical, but this time Stoor briefly touched Olsen's foot.
"Both cards were very harsh. The first one is obviously wrong. I didn't see the situation, but the TV footage show that it is completely wrong," Erik Hamrèn said.
The sending off came at the end of a promising first half for Rosenborg. Thiago Martins had a good opportunity for Bodø/Glimt, but apart from that, Rosenborg controlled the events. Didier Konan, Abdou Traoré, and Steffen Iversen all squandered decent opportunities in the first half.
"We controlled the match before the sending off. After the red card we showed good morale and worked hard. We created enough opportunities to win the match, but we have trouble converting chances into goals at the moment," Hamrén said.
Koné, who has signed for Cluj and joins the Romanian champions in August, came on as a sub and could have scored, but it was Glimt who came closest when a Thomas Rønning shot hit the post. The ex-Strindheim player had already given Glimt the lead when beating Vadim Demidov after Martins won an aerial challenge with Alejandro Lago.
Demidov, who played as a central defender because Stadsgaard is still out injured, made up for his own mistake only four minutes later when scoring his first Rosenborg goal: Glimt goalkeeper Pavel Londak could not hold a Roy Miller header after a corner kick, and Demidov volley the ball into the net.
Those were the only goals of the match, thus Glimt has still not beaten Rosenborg since 1979.
"They managed to put some pressure on us as the second half progressed, so perhaps we should be happy with the point we got. Still, we came here to win so we are slightly disappointed," Bjørn Tore Kvarme said.
He came on as a substitute six minutes from time and finished his football career, 17 years after his Rosenborg debut.
PS! TV2 always want a Tippeliga round to played over three days and chose to play this match on a Friday rather than on Sunday due to the Euro 2008 final.
