HamKam - Rosenborg 2-1

A bad first half was followed by an even worse second half. Still, RBK should have gotten one point against the relegation candidates.
HamKam's victory goal came four and a half minutes into overtime, when Rune Jarstein made a fool of himself in a duel with Markus Ringberg. The ball ended up with the 18 year old debutant Marcus Pedersen, who elegantly lobbed the ball into the goal. And so RBK lost.
"This shows that we are too unstable. We have had a period where things have been working out, but today everything went wrong. We have to continue working on a lot of things, but I think this was a one time offense," Vadim Demdiov told TV2.
Marek Sapara was back from his concussion against Aalesund, and was placed in an offensive position on the midfield, when Erik Hamrén for the first time had chosen to use the diamond formation his predecessor Trond Henriksen had used.
It did not work well. Sapara was completely lacking in every respect, and played his weakest match for RBK ever. Per Ciljan Skjelbred on the left was completely lost, and the midfield became very narrow. Still Yssouf Koné got four huge chances before the half time: He got free from his defenders and shot outside, he shot the ball into the crossbar and the goalpost and then he hot straight on the keeper.
HamKam scored on their only big chance, when Demidov instead of preventing a crossball sent it further on. At the backmost post Tommy Øren stood waiting, and shot the ball to the right of Rune Jarstein.
"People lost the ball way too often and the pace was lacking," Trond Henriksen expalined to TV2.
After the half time it only got worse. The players made bad passes all the time, that were no threat for HamKam. The home team didn't create much either, but they controlled the game.
When Didier Konan entered towards the end the game improved. He sent off two good shots, while Steffen Iversen had one decent finish.
Three minutes before the end everybody expected Rosenborg to equalize. Like against Ekranas on Sunday Jo Sondre Aas sent the ball to Koné, who scored. Aas headed a pass from Fredrik Stoor in front of the goal.
Still, Hamkamp won their first game in ten matches.
PS! Abdou Traoré couldn't play due to three yellow cards.
