According to VG, Cooper will soon be joining up with Rosenborg. Negotiations with Major League Soccer - who owns the transfer rights for the FC Dallas striker - have been going on all July, and looks set to be resolved soon.
"I never comment on transfers before they're done," Erik Hoftun says.
Speculations mount on the exact size of the bid. Rumours have suggested that the initial bid was around $1 million, or 5 million NOK, but the price has probably been pushed up considerably.
Kenny Cooper lost a large portion of the last season due to a broken right tibia, but he continued where he left off as soon as he was back in the game. This season has seen him netting nine goals in 17 matches (video highlights), and he also plays in an All Star game against West Ham tonight.
Unsurprisingly, the tall centre forward is strong in the air, but he also has the ability to challenge with the ball at his feet and is good at getting behind the opponent's back line.
