Dorsin returns to Rosenborg

Mikael Dorsin returns to Rosenborg after eight unhappy months in Cluj.
The Swedish international played 14 games for the Romanian side, and along with Lars Hirschfeld contributed to the club's victorious league and cup campaigns. He was also awarded a place in the Swedish European Cup squad. Off the pitch, however, his tenure was less than satisfying.
"The club manager is a bit "old school", we stay in hotels two or three nights before every game. There is little time for family life, and it's a strain to be away so much when you have a little child at home," Dorsin said to Adresseavisen earlier this year.
The left back joined Cluj on a Bosman move at the start of the year, but RBK will have to buy him back, the price probably no more than a couple of millions NOK. The Romanians might choose to forward the entire transfer fee to Dorsin as compensation to end his three year contract originally worth net 10 million NOK.
As early as July Cluj negotiated a transfer for Dorsin to FK Moskva, but he chose to turn down the lucrative offer after a visit to the Russian side. Several other, less formalised offers are also said to have been turned down before Rosenborg expressed their interest.
With Roy Miller out for two months after undergoing knee surgery last Wednesday, Dorsin might go straight into the starting eleven against Vålerenga. While in Transylvania, he has been following his old team's progress.
"I think I saw every match via the Internet, bar maybe one. It's been a rough start, but the teams are so evenly matched that it doesn't take many wins in a row to climb up the table. I think RBK can still launch a challenge," Mikael Dorsin says, now tied to the club until the end of 2011.
