Steffen Iversen got the first big chance when he, from a good position, shot directly on the goalie following a cross from Mikael Dorsin. RBK got surprisingly much room to play, and controlled the first half.
Marek Sapara scored the first goal after half an hour when he, using his left foot(!) sent off a long shot that went in by the post.
Sapara had another dangerous attempt before the break, but the score stayed 0-1 until half time.
Per Ciljan Skjelbred opened the second half with a treat reminiscent of his legendary goal against Olympiacos: after reconquering the ball, he sent it past the goalie with a twist.
From there on Brøndby began pressuring the away team. It only took minutes before Michael Krohn-Dehli steered the ball past Alexander Lund Hansen, who was guarding the goal in favour of Rune Jarstein.
The home team wanted another goal and created several great chances. Ousman Jallow headed the ball into the post while Morten Rasmussen sent off a hard long shot that Lund Hansen skillfully saved. Minutes before the end Alexander Tettey rounded off the festivities with a long shot that hit the goalpost.
RBK has played well in the last two home games in the European cups, and should be able to secure their advancement into the UEFA-cups in two weeks. There awaits four games - two home and two away.
