Kris Stadsgaard's knee injury turns out to be more serious than expected, and the Danish centre back will be out for the remainder of the season.
Originally pulled from the match day squad against Lillestrøm in order to recover, his knee is in worse condition than the first tests indicated after he suffered an injury during the match against Club Brugge.
"He has sustained an injury to the outer ligament. Surgery won't be necessary, but he will need six weeks to fully heal," medical coordinator Haakon Schwabe says to rbk.no.
Fellow centre back Vadim Demidov is suspended for Sunday's match against Bodø/Glimt, and Andreas Nordvik looks set for a return to the starting line-up together with Alejandro Lago.
PS! Saturday's training also saw Anthony Annan limping off the training field together with physio Sigbjørn Hammer, possibly further slimming Rosenborg's squad for Sunday's closing match in the Tippeliga.
