Tja..

Tidligere Rosenborg -Deportivo-kamper:

UEFA-cup 1. runde 1994/95

13/9:
Rosenborg - Deportivo La Coruña 1-0
1-0 Karl-Petter Løken

28/9:
Deportivo La Coruña - Rosenborg 4-1 (eeo)
1-0 Bebeto (81)
1-1 Harald Brattbakk (93)
2-1 Bebeto (98)
3-1 Donato (str. 106)
4-1 Bebeto (115)

Sammenlagt: 4-2

Kampreferat:

RBK have never been closer to knocking out a big club, but in a dramatic game they once more lost it at the end. However contrary to other years, this time they showed that they can play a defensive game as well. Kjell Roar Kaasa had two big chances to give Rosenborg the lead in normal time, but he missed. Instead, Deportivo got a dubious freekick just outside the area, which Bebeto beautifully placed outside By Rise's reach. That happened just as it looked as the game would end in a 0-0 draw, and sending RBK through.

In extra time RBK got the all-important away goal by Brattbakk, which meant that Deportivo now had to score twice to advance. Unfortunately, the home side regained the lead only 5 minutes later, again by Bebeto, but RBK were still through as the second period of extra time started. One minute into that period, Bebeto (who else?) was fouled inside the area, and the penalty was knocked in by Donato. RBK then had to push more forward to get another goal, but as often happens it was Deportivo who struck instead, and again by Bebeto. The Brazilian was clearly the man of the match, and really the main difference between the sides. Why didn't he manage to buy himself off his contract and return to Brazil, instead of troubling RBK? :-)

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DRAW: BOHEMIANS DUBLIN OR ROSENBORG TRONDHEIM

25th July 2003 -- On Friday at 12h00 the draw was made for the third pre-round of the Champions League. In two matches, to be played 12 or 13 August and 26 or 27 August, Deportivo and its opponent (Bohemians Dublin or Rosenborg Trondheim) will fight for one place in the first group of the tournament. The first match will be played in either Dublin or Trondheim, with the return being in La Coruña.

It may be assumed that the strong Norwegian team will eliminate Bohemians in the second pre-round matches, and therefore will meet Deportivo after it. And this can be labelled an ?unlucky? draw for Deportivo, as Rosenborg have a team with a lot of quality and European experience.

Rolling Eyes

Ok, så nok ikke grundig nok etter! Smile RC Deportivo La Coruña, who reached the second group stage last season, may end up with two games against perennial Champions League qualifiers Rosenborg BK, if the Norwegian contenders can get past Irish club Bohemian FK. The Spanish side's general manager, Luis Sánchez Doporto, was not overly concerned, claiming: We have to respect our opponents regardless. At the moment we have an excellent team." Twisted Evil
