Skjelbred's advisor Andreas Ekker denies this. |

What was Newcastle's offer? £4-5 million?
That would probably be an acceptable offer from Fulham, PCS is probably at the right age to move to England too. |

As I know, there has never been a bid from Newcastle. Just articles in the Evening Chronicle. |

Sorry...rumoured offer. The worry would be if we lost both PCS and Annan. Two similar type of players and offcourse despite Winsnes coming in, a weaker midfield. |

I'm also doubtful to whether Newcastle ever have shown real interest, e.g. by contacting his agent. Mr. Ekker has at least denied every Chronicle report. |

Ekker insists he has not received any offers for Skjelbred and that the reports are based on lies.
"It is in any case unknown to us and in case it has some truth in it, we would have known it," he told Dagbladet.

Ciljan should not go for anything less than 50 mill NOK. Annan And Skjelbred are not similar players, Ciljan is more of a technical player while Annan has his strength in duels, dirtywork in general and spreading passes from his anchor-position. |

Great match against Aris, and "short-listed" by English media:
The talented midfielder has been a one-club man throughout his short career, but he is sure to move on if he keeps performing like he has.

Sorry, that came across poorly. I mean in terms of stature i.e quality - it would be difficult to replace either of them, let alone both. |

Has signed for Hamburg (from 1 January)
"We are trying to get him earlier. We will just have to wait and see what the coming days bring", confirmed HSV coach Michael Oenning.

Rosenborg won't let him ago before 4 August; after the 3rd qual. round for CL. The transfer fee is assumed to be around 1 million Euro. |

This is ok for us I guess, though anyone disappointed with the transfer fee? Maybe a move to England would have got us more money?
I'm not sure what to make of PCS at the moment, I thought he would have left earlier though I guess he know's to make it at the top level he has to move to a major league. |

Rosenborg Trondheim and HSV have reached agreement on the transfer of Per Skjelbred to Hamburg with immediate effect:
"He will probably arrive on August 3rd or4th", explained Arnesen.
What was crucial was when Rosenborg would play their Champions League-qualification campaign.
