It's always good to see Red Bull lose, even if it is Red Bull Salzburg.

Cool

Two rounds so far... I will not be shocked if they win 1-0 at home and qualify.

Tromsø were a bit unlucky with Athletic Bilbao turning 1-2 to 3-2 in the final minutes.

I will be shocked if they qualify with a 1-0 win, they need at least 2-0 at home to qualify, don't they? (3-1 yesterday) Wink

Where will Maccabi play their homegames in the competition then? Didn't they have to leave for Cyprus when they qualfied back in 2002? Who can ever forget that 3-0 against Manchester United Cool

Thanks guys Smile

the home games will be in Ramat Gan stadium (where the national team play) because of the UEFA standards, the stadium in Haifa is too small and the only stadium we can play in besides Ramat Gan is Teddy stadium but its in Jerusalem and its very hard to get there for fans from the north..

in 02/03 Maccabi played the "home" games in Cyprus because of the situation in Israel not because of the stadiums

All the respect to Nicosia, I had a feeling after the 1-0 I think in Denmark that they will qualify for the first time..

Debrecen and Zurich also made it to the groups stage for the first time, its already 3 teams and Maccabi..RBK next year? Smile

Unirea, Rubin Kazan and AZ Alkmaar are debutants too, aren't they? I know they were already qualified, but I'm asking.

Well . . . you got something pretty difficult just the same.

GROUP A- Bayern Munich, Juventus, Bordeaux, Maccabi Haifa

Good luck, you'll need it.

Wink

In other group news, ManU drew a cake walk of a group.

Ha. Some friends of mine said the same back in 2005 when they drew Villareal, Benfica and Lille. They finished 4th Smile

Hamburger SV (GER)
Celtic FC (SCO)
Hapoel Tel-Aviv FC (ISR)
SK Rapid Wien (AUT)

You make an excellent point, but I still like ManU's chances.

Don't get me wrong, nothing would be more entertaining than to see ManU get bumped off, but I just can't see it happening right now.

Guess we'll find out.

I like Tel-Aviv's chances in that grouping. Every home game is a must for them.

Well I cant say this CL campaign is a failure because like I said 5 years ago all we want is to be there? Very Happy

Anyway results:

Group A
Maccabi Haifa - Bayern Munich 0-3
Bordeaux - Maccabi Haifa 1-0
Juventus - Maccabi Haifa 1-0
Maccabi Haifa - Juventus 0-1
Bayern Munich - Maccabi Haifa 1-0
Maccabi Haifa - Bordeaux (08/12/09)

its really a shame that we can't score, we're missing luck we have alot of chances and we play good except for the first game against Bayern you can see the results 1-0 too bad :\

Hapoel Tel Aviv:

Group C

Hapoel Tel Aviv - Celtic 2-1
Hamburg - Hapoel Tel Aviv 4-2
Hapoel Tel Aviv - Rapid Wien 5-1
Rapid Wien - Hapoel Tel Aviv 0-3
Celtic - Hapoel Tel Aviv (02/12/09)
Hapoel Tel Aviv - Hamburg (17/12/09)

Hapoel are first in that group and all they need is a tie to qualify..
