Somewhat unofficial yet - guess it will be confirmed tomorrow: Norway won UEFA Fair Play 2011/12, and Stabæk will get the place in the 1st qualifying round. |

Crusaders only embarked on pre-season training last night, heightening the challenge lying in wait in Europe.
“The fact Rosenborg are well into their season, and we haven’t even started, obviously adds to the challenge,” Baxter said.
“But this will be great for the fans. Last year they got Fulham and now they have Rosenborg to look forward to.”

A family holiday means Crusaders manager Stephen Baxter will miss Thursday's Europa League First Qualifying round first leg against Rosenborg at Seaview [20:00 BST].
"The family holiday was booked some time ago and I'm not back home until Saturday," Baxter told BBC Sport from Portugal.

1-0 win tonight.
Ordabasy of Kazakhstan next up. The return leg will be played on neutral venue in Almaty. 4700 km away from Trondheim, that is - our longest journey ever! |

"We are playing quite solidly at the moment and go into the Servette match in the driving seat," said Jönsson. "I feel we were the better side in the away match. We created twice as many chances as them. I hope we can build on that at Lerkendal."

Any polish fans that want to analyse the strengths and weaknesses of Legia Warszawa?
And do Legia Warszawa, look like a stronger or weaker side overall this year, than they did last year? _________________ "Forøvrig mener jeg at sitater burde markeres med opphavsperson" |

I would say Legia this year is at the same level as last year (maybe a bit better). They sold some expensive players that were thought as a great improvements but turned out a large disappointment, I mean Nacho Novo and Ismael Blanco. This summer, Legia bought his former striker Marek Saganowski which seems to be good addition to Daniel Ljuboja. There are also good young players like Wolski, Żyro, Kosecki. I think the most important aspect is that Legia this summer hasn't sold any of his key players and added new young ones and one experienced striker that really good knows the club and may turn out a very valuable transfer.
What may cause problems is our defensive line. Żewłakow is good and experienced player but he is very slow, we bought Suler this summer but he did some terrible mistakes in pre season games so I am not ready to say whether he is valuable transfer or not. We have new Coach, Jan Urban, which prefers to play offensive football so our defensive line has to play closer to the center field what is harder and may imply losing more goals this season than last season.
What is the problem for all polish clubs in european cups is that polish league starts very late and most of teams are not in good form in August. They need more time to get higher level and this is why all of them (except Legia) have lost their last games in EL eliminations. Legia played two good games last time, won against Ried (3:1) and won against Korona (4:0) so I am optimist before the match against you gays |

Interesting summary, even though you seem to have misspelled the last word. Unless of course you think Norwegians in Trondheim are an extremely happy sort of people _________________ "Forøvrig mener jeg at sitater burde markeres med opphavsperson" |

Rosenborg and FC Twente are the only sides who have battled their way to the group stage all the way from the first qualifying round. They are unbeaten in eight European matches in 2012/13 – four wins and four draws.
(...)
Twente's Leroy Fer and Rosenborg's Czech forward (sic) Bořek Dočkal were the highest scorers in qualifying with six goals each.

Metalist have lost just one of their last nine European home games, a 1-0 defeat by Olympiacos FC in last season's UEFA Europa League round of 16 first leg. They have won five and drawn the other three.
