Poor Pavel was very unfortunate. He wasn't given a real chance to prove himself as we had a very big squad and our coach was in big stress.

He played several games, but didn't become a regular in the team.
We blame our coach for that... most fans thought he showed good signs of football, and wasn't given enough chances.

He scored one spectacular goal though.

I myself think he is a good player, plays fast, thinks fast, good technic, good shooting from outside. Too bad he didn't get his chance.

Now he plays in FC Banik Ostrava, the team of masters of the Czech Republic.

That's Milan Baros old team, isn't it?

Yes, Milan Baros is from Banik. But no only Milan Baros! For Example Marek Jankulovski, Tomas Galasek and other players from czech A squad. Banik is famous as great "brooder" of talents!

Ah, the good old nazi excuse...you lot have milked that cow well for the last 60 years haven't you?
I don't see vast lobbies in Washington crying over the 3 million gypsies, homosexuals and mentally ill who also were eradicated, while getting free guns to wipe out militia and civilians alike. Funny that, how when you use 5 kilos of C4 strapped to your body you're a terrorist, but if you're conducting massacres with a 100 mill. $ gunship you're a legitimate Army...

Not a nazi, I just despise your entire "God's Chosen People" apartheid "state"(nothing like stolen country is there?) and I always will...

I didn't figure you would either, Oren. That's ok. My response was detailed as he went for the easy "nazi" argument the second someone talked back to him.

I have no problem with the individual Israeli, Oren, and you are most welcome here.

My disliking Israel is not a "jew" thing, it is a "The 'state' of Israel" thing.
(if that made any sense...)

Sorry mate, I go more for the females, but thanx for the offer!

However, there is very little more sexy than an UZI slapping against the firm, uniformed ass of a woman...

Here are the European results for Rosenborg for the past few seasons.

1998-99
Qualifications:
RBK - Club Brügge 2-0
Club Brügge - RBK 4-2

Aggregate 4-4; RBK won on away goals

Group:
Athletic Bilbao: 1-1 away, won 2-1 home
Juventus: lost 0-2 away, 1-1 home
Galatasaray: lost 3-0 away, won 3-0 home

Juventus, Galatasaray and RBK ended on 8 points, but RBK was last of these.

1999-00
Directly qualified.

Group play 1
Boavista: won 0-3 away and 2-0 home
Feyenoord: lost 1-0 away, 2-2 home
Borussia Dortmund: won 0-3 away, 2-2 home

Won group 1, passed on to next group stage

Group play 2
Bayern Münich: lost 2-1 away, 1-1 home
Real Madrid: lost 3-1 away and 0-1 home
Dinamo Kiev: lost 2-1 both home and away

Ended last in group.

2000-01
Qualifying rounds:
Shelbourne: won 1-3 away, 1-1 home
Dunaferr: 2-2 away, won 2-1 home

Group:
Paris St Germain: Lost 7-2 away, won 3-1 home
Bayern Münich: lost 3-1 away, 1-1 home
Helsingborg: lost 2-0 away, won 6-1 home

Ended 3rd in group.

2001-02
Qualification:
Inter Bratislava: 3-3 away, won 4-0 home

Group:
Porto: lost 1-0 away, lost 1-2 home
Juventus: lost 1-0 away, 1-1 home
Celtic: lost 1-0 away, won 2-0 home

Ended last in group.

2002-03
Qualifications:
Brøndby, won 3-2 away, won 1-0 home

Group:
Inter Milan: lost 3-0 away, 2-2 home
Lyon: lost 5-0 away, 1-1 home
Ajax: 1-1 away, 0-0 home

Ended last in group.

2003-04
Qualifications:
Bohemians: won 1-0 away, won 4-0 home
Deportivo la Corunã: lost 1-0 away, 0-0 home

Exit CL.

UEFA Cup
Red Star: won 1-0 away, 0-0 home
Benfica: lost 1-0 away, won 2-1 home

Exit UEFA cup.

All in all we're pretty hard to beat on home ground, but haven't had as great success at away ground, including some spectacular losses.

Our best season was maybe 1996/97, when we met AC Milan at San Siro for the final game in the group stage and had to beat them. We won 2-1 at San Siro and entered the quarter finals, where we met Juventus: lost 2-0 away, 1-1 home.

The year after the team was actually better, and we saw some awesome results: We won 2-0 home against Real Madrid, 2-0 home against Porto and 5-1 home against Olympiakos. Unfortunately, but predictably, Real Madrid won the group.

What about the match against Ventspils of Latvia??

I don't think the away result against Brøndby is correct either. didn't we win that one 2-0?

No, that was definitely 3-2. I think we were leading 3-0 when Brøndby suddenly started playing with real passion, getting in 2 quick goals with about 15-20 minutes left of the game (or something like that).

And Recon, I have to say, this doesn't seem to be the best place for you to air out your opinions about the state of Israel. Can't we keep it to the football?

Not a problem. Just responding to a certain redneck, as I made clear in my earlier post aimed at Oren who has behaved in a very good manner here.

Now, if we also manage to keep the languages to English and Norwegian, we might actually get to talk about football. If they desperately want to communicate in hebrew, I guess they have their own forums they can bugger off to!

The Red Star Belgrade conversations were rather similar to this exchange. It's interesting to see how soccer brings out the nationalism and latent conflicts in people.

Now; I also think it's over the line to have issues with 'the state of israel'. Granted; I don't particularly agree with the policies of Ariel Sharon, Benjamin Netanyahu (as I have issues with the leaders of other countries; George Bush, Donald Rumsfeld, Kim Jong Il and the saudi family...), I still have massive respect for others within that state (Shimon Peres, The late Rabin, and others), and also with a Clinton (or even a Kerry).

Israel is a country I'd love to visit. Despite what you think of religion, the entire western civilization's value system is founded on judaism, via christianity. Thus; it would be interesting to go to the source and see where it started.

I'll just say: Why?
But I don't really want an answer, as this thread is way off topic as it is. Lets just disagree.
