our team have won the norwegian championship 12 consecutive times, and 13 times the last 14 years. For 11 of those, we had the same coach, Nils Arne Eggen, who created a team based on a solid philosophy of attack, attack, attack, and where the team is bigger than the individual, and the main reason for a player to walk onto the field is to make his teammates better.Everybody knows what to do in the most well structured offense in northern europe.

Most players are norwgian, and the idea is that the team should be by tronders, for tronders (trondheim is the city, trondelag is the region we live in). It's not a nationalistic thought; it's just that local players will cause the team to have a stronger connection to the region it plays in. Thus; we only have two foreign players in our roster right now, and one of them has a solid background in another orwegian team.

We have a divine goalie that can make the most incredible saves. The defense plays a flat, zone-oriented defense with an effective offside trap. Our backs are offensive and join in on the attack. The central midfielder (orjan berg or fredrik winsnes) are the architects of the attack, while our wings run constantly to create opportunities. We play an agressive and very direct 4-3-3 formation, with the ball played on the ground. We defend all over the field.

Orjan Berg is probably the best player on the team, and he's hard to mark out of the game (you better put two players on him). He tackles hard, and you will not enjoy meeting him. Our central striker is the wallbreaker, scores important goals, and typically with his head. We are lethal on free kicks and corners.

Your best shot is to find the space between the defense and the midfield, and create situations where we have not covered one of your wings (oh... and by the way... good luck with that...)

We play very well at home, but have some catastrophic results away. We beat Paris St. Germain 3-1 at home, and lost 7-2 (!) away, and we beat Real Madrid 2-0 at home (and list 4-1 away). But our proudest result was beating Milan 2-1 in italy, which kicked milan out of champion's league, and sent us to meat juventus. The next proudest is probably beating borrusia dortmund 3-0 in germany and winning our group that year. Both are fairly recent results, and there are still players from those games with us.

Well, hmmm... maybe? Can't say I know how it is in Greece. Tough, many Norwegians are occupied with some sort of sport. We are a big nation in winter sports - alpine skiing, cross country skiing, biathlon, ski jumping, nordic combined etcetera. Nearly all Norwegians knows how to ski; it is said that we are "born with skis on our feet", and half the population does try some kind of winter sports during winter.

On the other hand, we're not a great summer sports nation. Still, I guess you could say it's popular. Football and handball are the greatest summer sports, I would guess. Norway holds the world's largest football tournament each year, with 27 000 players from around the world. (2004: 1435 teams from 40 nations.)

Well, we hear a lot, and the opinions do of course vary. Let's be careful now, before this ends up in a political discussion, but some brief comments:
- It is terribly frustrating that it never seems to be peace in the Middle East
- Israel is in fact an occupant, and tough they do have a right to defend themselves, and has earned symphaty after the 2nd world war, they now stretch it too far
- The palestinians don't do enough to stop the terror
- Errors are been made from both sides: Israelic invasion leads to Palestinian terror - Palestinian terror leads to Israelic countermeasures - Israelic countermeasurers leads to more Palestinian terror - etc
- More than 95 % of both Palestinians and Israelits are probably innocent and just want things to end

Thank you. I have a good feeling rbk will be able to tie, or maybe lose 3-2 or so. I have no doubt either team will score.

There's been chatter in norway about not getting the correct lineup from isreaeli journalists and coaches before the match in a gentleman-like fashion. I don't know if a match was ever won because one knew the correct line-up, neither did our coaches and staff experience anything unexpected on the field. In short; it's summertime, and the Iraq war is getting old to write about in the newspapers, so we're cooking up stuff. I'd say; just ignore it.

I would have loved to see Israel, but because of the tense situation with the palestinians, I think the Norwegian Foreign Department would guide us NOT to travel.
I've never doubted that Israeli cities are just as good as other world cities. I have been in Lebanon once, and I've longed to get back there ever since. The middle east is a beautiful place on the earth, and it's a pity that political unagreement should rouin such great places.
